Requirements: N/A
Description: Your starting rank. At this level, you are at the very start of your journey as a mage. You are only coming to grips with your magic, so you don't have a great mastery over it. Your spells don't do much damage but keep on working at it and you're sure to become strong.
Extra: Cannot learn a spell higher than C-Rank. Cannot have a stat exceeding C-Rank.
Rank: C (Novice)
Requirements: 5000XP
Description: You can now be considered a novice mage. You've managed to control your magic a lot better and your spells can deal more damage. However, you still have a long way to go.
Extra: Cannot learn a spell higher than B-Rank. Cannot have a stat exceeding B-Rank.
Rank: B (Experienced)
Requirements: 25,000XP
Description: Even though it's only a single rank higher, you've come a long way from being a C-Rank mage. For many, B-Rank is the limit. You've more or less become adept with your magic. Anyone who thinks they can push you around easily has another thing coming to them. However, you've yet to reach Wizard Lord or Saint level.
Extra: Cannot have any spell higher than A-Rank. Cannot have a stat exceeding A-Rank.
Rank: A (Exemplar)
Requirements: 50,000XP
Description: Congratulations, you've finally reached the big leagues. You've probably performed some big feats, and your name is likely well known throughout Fiore. However, there is still more for you to achieve. Continue to work hard and that elusive title of S-Rank mage will soon be yours. You'll have to work at it though. You'll be fine because by now, you'll have realized that things aren't simply given to you, right?
Extra: Can only have 1 S-Rank spell, and cannot learn any spell higher rank than S. Cannot have a stat exceeding S-Rank.
Rank: S (Master)
Requirements: 100,000XP and pass S-Rank exam.
Description: You are now recognized all throughout Fiore, your name being a household name. In our real world standards, you could be compared to the biggest Hollywood A-Listers and many aspiring mages look up to you. It wouldn't be surprising if you were a Wizard Lord or Saint.
Extra: Can only have 3 S-Rank spells and 1 X-Rank spell. Can only have one stat higher than S.
Rank: X (Grandmaster)
Requirements: 300,000XP, at least 2 magics, at least one serious plot feat.
Description: You are now at the point where people will actually begin to make up stories about you. Depending on the path you have led, people will cheer with admiration or shudder in fear when your name is mentioned. You will be acknowledged as a powerful mage by virtually everyone, regardless of whether they are friend or foe.
Extra: Can only have 5 S-Rank spells. Can only have 2 X-Spell.
Rank: Z (Ascended)
Requirements: 500,000XP, 3 magics, 3 serious plot feats and staff approval.
Description: The true definition of a legend. Your name is a thing of myth, your strength is said to be incomparable and some will even doubt your very existence or at the very least, the feats that you are said to have accomplished. Your beginnings were humble but you are finally at the top of the mountain.
Extra: Can only have 10 S-Rank spells and 3 X-Rank spells. Can only have 1 Z-Rank spell.
